I really don't know what's scarier - watching Ram Gopal Varma's latest scare fest AGYAAT or the fact that he boldly mentions as the movie ends... coming soon AGYAAT 2.
Now this has to be one director who is high on confidence. C'mon mate, what is this movie all about? Is this a new genre you are creating 'Comic Horror'. In the past, you have made a few good films, but to take credit for this (sorry to use the word) crap... I mean it is ridiculous. Have you no regards for the ''mango people'' (aam junta)?
In one scene, there is a dialogue, which goes thus: ''Picture banana nahi hai, khatam karna hai. ''And another which goes something like this. ''First day first show pe chaar aadmi theatre aate hain. Usme se do soote hain.'' In this case, it is the producer of the film, who is mouthing this dialogue. He has taken his unit to a dense forest in Sri Lanka for a film shoot. And here it is where they are being chased by an unknown force. So was Ramu shooting a film or trying to complete it? Your guess is as good as mine!
This one is for the film's heroine... Shakespeare aptly summed it up: ''What's in a name? That which we call a rose by any other name would smell as sweet.'' So whether it's Priyanka or Nisha, it will not matter! I don't want to ridicule her but what she does with her eyeballs is quite funny.
As for the rest of the cast, the less said the better.
One final word: Ramu, please respect your audience. A trip to the multiplex is no cheap affair.
